Hello! Hope everyone is ready for Father’s Day this weekend! We have some cute things for dad around the shop. A vintage hat like his dad or grandfather might have worn.
An old baseball card just like the one he might have used in his bicycle wheel spokes, or an old Matchbox Car box? Then there is also Sam’s Country Porch Antiques for vintage tools! While you are shopping for dad, grab one of Sam’s pretty plants now 80% off! Stop by Suzanna’s Antiques shopping village for all the gifts on your list. Now with four shops for your shopping needs! Or maybe even to give Dad a day off from the honey do list, you come shop and let him relax at home. You both get what you want!! Speaking of gifts….any weddings coming up for you? At Suzanna’s we have the whole rhyme covered! Something old, something new Something borrowed, something blue A lucky penny for your shoe! For the something old, welllllll, we are an antique shop…you MIGHT be able to find something old around here! Hehehe! And we don’t mean us!! Maybe a beautiful embroidered handkerchief? Or a great vintage veiled hat? For the new, anything you purchase for the bride and groom will be new to them even if it is vintage! Like a beautiful piece of pottery to start a collection. Or a great bridal edition cookbook! For the something borrowed….you could buy yourself a great set of earrings and then lend them to the bride for the wedding! For the blue, come see the new collection of blue in the yard. How about a great blue planter for the bride’s new garden? Or a blue pitcher or glasses for their new kitchen! We even have the lucky penny for her shoe. Maybe one from the year she was born? We have many other bridal collections around the shop. Full sets of china, beautiful milk glass to begin her own collection, silver serving pieces with monograms, we even have old bridal shower invitations and thank you notes and wedding toppers. Maybe get her a 50th anniversary cake topper to give the happy couple something to look forward to! Like we said, Suzanna’s Antiques has you covered! This is the week we tell you about some of the great places we have shopped at! If you have not had the chance to go to Thieves Market at 3540 Maitland Drive, in the Tower Shopping center off of Hwy 64, 919-212-2100, you need to. They are closed Monday, but open Tuesday thru Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Mom and I always find something there! With 80 plus dealers and consigners, you will too! Thieves Market dealers carry such an array of merchandise, from jewelry to vintage items to hand painted furniture and gifts, it is a great place to spend some time! Be sure to let them know you heard about them from Suzanna’s Antiques! Another cute place we found was in Oxford. “Vintage Charm” at 111 Main Street, telephone number 693-3700! They are open Thursday and Friday 12:00 pm to 5:30 and Saturday 10:00 to 5:00! This is the cutest little antique shop with a tea room! Their web site is http://www.vintagecharmnc.com/ and soon you will be able to purchase right off their website!! How cool is that?? Please stop by when you have the chance and let them know that you heard about them from Suzanna’s Antiques! While in Oxford, be sure to drop by Remember When! Philip is still hard at work on his buildings at Suzanna’s, but he has other buildings and antiques in Oxford and it is worth the drive!! Have a wonderful weekend and see you around the shop! Suzanna's Antiques Newsletter

Hello Everyone!! WOW oh WOW! If you have not made it to the shop in a week or two, now is the time to come in! The entire shop has been transformed, and we are finally finished! There has not been a single thing that has not moved, shifted or switched to another location!

It is BEAUTIFUL! We have unearthed some great items you may not have seen before! That is the best part of moving all the merchandise; you never know what you might find! We have located a ton of linens, so what should we do?? How about a ½ off selected linens sale? We have cutter quilts, regular quilts, pillows, tablecloths, placemats, napkins… almost anything you may want! We also unearthed some beautiful hand painted furniture pieces that were kind of hidden before, and just got in a new fun wicker four piece set. There is a mirror, dresser, nightstand and chair with that set.

We have everything at Suzanna’s Antiques! We even have some enamel kitchen sinks in right now!! Hehehe! Jeannie was in, updating her booth, and taking markdowns on almost everything in there! She brought in some beautiful new vintage aprons, a great new bed and one of the most beautiful enamel doctor desks I have ever seen!

She also has her cute flower and wire cake domes on special two for five dollars! Give one as a present and keep one for yourself! Ray and Gloria have some wonderful chandeliers in their booth right now, unusual colored ones

and some super sparkly crystal ones. And don’t forget Ray for any of your lamp rewiring needs! Call the shop for his number! Jeff and Julia are becoming known for their chalk ware pieces and they do not disappoint this week!

Check the blog for a picture of the beautiful mirrored chalk ware piece in their booth. They also carry a wide range of bakelight handled kitchen pieces

and have some great toile painted trays.

Arlene and Joseph have brought in some new items as well! They are so happy you love their booth so much! How about an entryway wall hook for your kitchen with some chickens on it?

Perfect for hanging all those vintage aprons from Jeannie’s booth!! Or a beautiful white birdcage!

So pretty! Gary and Teresa have expanded! They now have two booths and their second is just as cute as their first! Check the blog for a picture of the precious corner desk and chair they have!

Linda’s booth is wonderful as always! Need a storage cabinet? She has two in her booth for you! One white and one a fun purple shade!

Or some new pictures for your beach house…she has what you want! Don’t forget, Suzanna’s Antiques offers decorating help! Linda is available for any of your decorating questions! She can come to your house and help you figure out that dark corner, or the unusual hallway. Call the shop for an appointment! Sam at Sam’s Country Porch started selling their plants at 50% off today! Stop by now for the best selection! There are still many beautiful ones to choose from! Tracy is doing wonderful and wanted me to thank you all for coming out to spend time with her!

The Little Shabby Shed is doing wonderful and has more items then Tracy can even fit inside, so she has decorated under her shelter as well and has some beautiful pieces! Philip has one of his garden rooms completed and it should be decorated by this weekend!

He also has two of his smaller garden sheds, all made with reclaimed materials from torn down buildings! Pictures of these are on the blog as well! So head to Suzanna’s Antiques this weekend, we have created quite the little shopping village for you to enjoy and look forward bringing you many other fun activities throughout the summer! even if you have not had a chance to come over yet! Keep an ear out for more information on the huge Grand Opening Party we are planning jointly with Tracy! After all, Suzanna’s Antiques is helping to create a wonderful shopping destination for you all to enjoy! Some great goings on are happening inside Suzanna’s as well! You will not believe the changes Susie and Linda have been making all over the shop! The area behind the office has been transformed into a wonderful bedroom look!

The library area has a new look with more shelves and more books and an amazing HUGE corner china cabinet!

Even the yard has been given a facelift with the addition of an awesome stove!

Nancy Creagh has been hard at work making her new booth into something amazing! Arlene and Joseph, our new dealers, have brought in some great fun items.

I especially like the painted window on their back wall! Gary and Teresa are expanding their booth and we cannot wait to see all the new items they will bring in. Their new red set is amazing and would look awesome in a kitchen

or even really great in a game room! Jeannie of Uniquitiques in Hillsborough, who also has a booth here at Suzanna’s, is running 20% off in her booth!

Remember that cute turquoise cabinet in her booth from the blog a few weeks ago?? It can now be yours!! Linda brought in some adorable new beach prints!

Ray and Gloria have a beautiful white dresser in their booth and Jeff and Julia keep bringing in some of the best vintage glass ware I have ever seen. Come outfit your kitchen with a new set of polka dot glasses or fun triangle shaped patterned ones! Or come see some of the new vintage perfume bottles they have! Just beautiful! Lori Dillard, who makes some of the vintage handcrafted jewelry you guys all love, has brought in some new pieces that won’t be here long! Come get yours while it is still here!

Also, Philip’s houses have arrived! There is a cute outhouse and a beautiful building made from old glass paned doors!

Come see what he has set up so far! Ceci Parent, a long time customer, has forsythia plants available for anyone to dig up. Give her a call at 872-6261 for more information!
