Well, I guess with the 5 minutes of sleet we
got around lunch time,

we have gotten our winter done with in Raleigh now!

PLEASE!

I had to take my coat off this afternoon when it hit 60 degrees!!

That's weather in North Carolina for you,

if you don't like it, wait five minutes, it will change!

Much like the change around the shop.

Many of our customers always comment on the fact

that whenever they are in the shop, it's new and different!

New wardrobes have come into two different booths this week!

Along with an amazing "Star Shaped" light!!

Bobby and Karen brought in this baby rocker,

found on their shopping spree this weekend!

So many new items!

We really pride ourselves in keeping things new and fresh!

Like this beautiful book shelf in Sarah's booth!

Or this to die for spice rack!!

We even are making the SHOP new and different!

By adding a window to the office!!

After all we want to keep it new and fresh for us too!!

Hello Everyone! Hope you are all enjoying this
amazing weather! 70 degrees on February 1st? Seriously?

With this beautiful weather in mind, we have all been hard at work in the yard

getting things ready for you!

Wouldn't this amazing metal bed look wonderful

on a screened in porch?

And another fun feature that many of you have been asking for....

WOOD!

Many of you create your own signs and crafts from vintage painted wood,

so we now have a great selection for you to choose from!

Only $3.00 a foot!

Now while the outside has been worked on,

the inside has gotten just as much attention!

New nightstands, hutches and shelves have all come in this week!

And that does not even begin to cover the great dish set

that came in!

Or the jewelry!

Or this fun set of silverware! One of the neatest sets I have ever seen!

But I think my favorite item in the shop right now

is this set of luggage!!

Four pieces that are in pristine condition!!

It has to be seen to be believed!

Different ways of looking at things and seeing the little details of items.

A new customer found us this morning and made mention

of the fact that we must feel so lucky to be able to work

in such a beautiful environment every day!

WE DO FEEL LUCKY!

These paper lanterns are fun and our new dealer has some great signs!

And amazing furniture!

These two slipper chairs are just precious!

bathing suit and bubbles display!

I think my favorite are these wonderful blue glasses

that keep asking to go home with me!

Words cannot begin to describe how awesome

the shop looks right now!

All dealers have been moved into their new spots!

Tons of new merchandise, tons of new ideas

tons of items you just can't live without!!

while the weather is getting a little cooler!

But the piece we are most excited about is this steamer trunk!

It still has it's original tapestry pocket, all it's hangers,

and the drawers have a beautiful embossing on them!

It has to be seen to be believed!

One great thing about being in The Vintage Village is

we are not the only ones with new items!

Susie and Debbie at the Two Old Birds have some

elegant black and white decorating going on!

Vingette's with Gail, Laurie and Sherry have some amazing rustic

items that have come in!

PLUS we are welcoming a new neighbor to The Vintage Village!!

The front building is soon going to be home to a Country Store!

They plan on carrying antiques, homemade jelly and jams and sauces!

We are so excited to be starting the New Year off with this shop facelift!

It is finally supposed to start feeling

like Christmas around here!

These 70 degree temperatures in

December have been weird!!

But with all the beautiful weather,

lots of new items have been coming into the shop!

This cabinet came in on Tuesday and is

just perfect for displaying in a kitchen or dining room!

This cabinet also came in and is just as pretty with it's red interior!

If you are friends with us on Facebook,

you know I found a box of Christmas at my house

that was SUPPOSED to be for the shop!

The ornaments and decor I found include some of the

prettiest ornaments we have had so far!

And of course my pictures do not do them justice!

"This one time, at Band Camp..." (sorry could not help myself)!

This vanity would look amazing under the Christmas tree,

and would be just what a every little girl, or big girl for that matter,

would love to get!

And all you crafty ladies will be happy to know

that even more button strands have come in,

right Miss Debbie??

Wait til you see our new display of Wind in the Willow dips mixes!

We have samples out every day and we

really need you to come get it so we will stop eating it!! hahaha!

I'm such a stinker...hehehe!

Hope everyone has recovered from Thanksgiving

with your relatives!!

We had a wonderful day with family and friends and actually ate outside under the beautiful fall sky!

My sister outdid herself with a over 15 people at the house!

We hope yours was just as lovely!

Speaking of lovely! This twin bed came in over the weekend!

We shared a picture of it on our Facebook page,

and promptly sold the quilt, but the bed is still available as are those amazing pillows,

made from vintage Christmas tablecloths!

Lots of other items have made it into The Vintage Village

and SuzAnna's Antiques over the last few days!

Sam's Country Porch has in some of the

MOST beautiful wreaths,

and kissing balls I have ever seen!

They won't last long with how pretty they are, so hurry in!

And while you are here getting things to pretty up your houses, don't forget about yourselves!

These two vintage fur coats arrived and are perfect for that

Christmas party you are going to next week!

Just the right amount of drama!

And don't think we forgot about the guys! They have to be pretty too, right??

What a wonderful week we are having! All thanks to you, our customers!

So many new items, like this mantel and this beautiful dresser, have come in.

The shop has been transformed and Christmas is popping up all over!

You guys are buying it as quick as we can put it out!

One tablecloth did not even make it out of the car!

A customer saw it while I was carrying it in and claimed it right then and there!

Some beautiful vintage Santa's came in today,

along with an amazing amount of Christmas books, cards and ornaments!

So many new things you will just be amazed!

We all at The Vintage Village can't wait for our Holiday Open House

next week on Thursday, November 17th from 5:30-until.....

If you have never joined us for one of our Holiday Parties, you are in for a treat!

There may even be a visit by a certain someone!!

But speaking of Open Houses, there are a ton going on this weekend!

Elizabeth's Treasures in Wake Forest is not only having her

Holiday Open House this weekend, but is celebrating one year in business!

Susie and I are back from our whirlwind trip to Stone Mountain, GA

for The Country Living Antique Fair!

The best part was, my sister Emily was able to come with us!
We had SO MUCH FUN!

It was almost overwhelming with all the new ideas we got

and all the wonderful people we met!

I got to meet Amy Barickman,

the creator of Indygo Junction, a site dedicated to

creating new items using vintage fabrics!

We got to meet Cari Cucksey of

Cash and Cari on HGTV!

But no pictures with her, the line was too long!

A few of the cute Sister's on the Fly were there with their campers!

This one is called Dealia Jo, in remembrance of the owners Mom and Grandmother!

Each of the campers have their own personality and we were privileged enough to

contribute to the decorating. Ms Marie Webb loves to shop at SuzAnna's

and used some of the items she got from us to decorate

the inside of this cute camper for her client!

Thanks for the advertising Miss Marie!!

While we were gone playing at the fair,

Rachel had a huge weekend at the shop so there are LOTS of new items!

Letters are huge right now! But we loved this arrow!

And this wool blanket is perfect for the coming cooler temperatures!

This amazing dry sink would be perfect as a bar, a side table, or entry table!

Anywhere you put it, it will shine! The teal bed behind it is awesome too!

Some new flavors of soaps have come in.

These make great hostess gifts for Thanksgiving, tied in a cute hankie!

Or one of the amazing scarfs we have scattered through the store!

While we are talking about Thanksgiving, think about your home and

what you might need to finish off the look you are trying to create!

We still have some beautiful harvest decor available!

Halloween, Thanksgiving

This dresser also came in over the weekend,

and is so antique that the

drawer runners have worn holes

in the bottom of the drawers!

It's so neat to see the proof of something being well loved!

This Christmas China is wonderful, as is the salesman sample dresser!

We are so thankful for all our customers who came out to

support our Fall Festival this past weekend!

The Vintage Scotty Trailer from Betsy with

Sister's on the Fly was a HUGE hit!

We can't wait to have her back on

November 17th for our Holiday Open House!

Can you imagine how cute it will be decorated for Christmas??

Another reason we are so thankful for our customers is how quick you guys are!

Before I even got home to do the newsletter today, this chalkboard sold!

As did this amazing utility cart! These were not even in the shop 24 hours!!

Lots of other great new things have come in that you

guys have not snapped up yet!

TONS of new vintage clothing, boots and coats have come in!

Along with some adorable children's coats and sweaters!

I think the bunny is wearing a coat just like this one!

This newsletter will have to hold you guys,

Susie and I and my son are off on a family trip combined with a little shopping next week!

We are heading up to Vermont, so LOTS of great places to stop along the way!

Some of our dealers and the girls

Rachel, Jasmin, Emma and Jennifer

will be holding down the fort while we are away!

Come see them, you never know what the mice will do while the cats are away!

With that being said, Susie has been hard at work all week changing everything up.

We have gotten in so many new pieces I really

Debra and Todd came back from a buying trip

to completely redo their booth as well!

With the temperatures dropping, it is FINALLY feeling like fall!

And just in time for the crisp weather, pumpkins have arrived

at The Vintage Village!

Mr Sam at Sam's Country Porch has in these beautiful pumpkins and some very tasty apples!

Susie has already been busy making some yummy Apple Crisps!

But pumpkins are showing up inside as well!

Many of our dealers have been overhauling their booths

to make way for Halloween and fall decorations!

These two great candy jars will look perfect with candy corns in them!

And these beautiful planters outside in Gary and Teresa's booth will be perfect

with mum's decorating your yard!

Some dealers have even brought in costumes!

Susie and I are pleased to introduce a new line of autumn and winter inspired soaps!

With names like Spiced Pumpkin, Apple Cider Shea Butter, Cranberry Chestnut and Fresh Holly,

Hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day!

It was a huge day at the shop, so thank you to everyone who came out!

Dressers and desks and tables went flying,

so there was lots of room for new items to come into the shop!

Like this AMAZING kitchen table,

two chairs and two benches

brought to us by Miss Teresa and Mr Gary.

With the red checks, plaids and floral dish towels, this is such a "happy" kitchen set!

Then Miss Barb and Miss Karen, two of our new dealers,

brought in this great dresser, and this beautiful bookshelf!

Mom and I were lucky enough to come across this tall dresser!

The legs and detailing on it are just wonderful!

Miss Heidi carried in this marble topped linen chest.

The top has two cabinet doors with three drawers behind them.

Then two big drawers on the bottom. Beautiful piece!

Even some outdoor items came in, perfect for enjoying the new cooler fall weather.

Oh well!

I thought we were done with these hot temperatures last week!

But with 100 degrees on Thursday, and then 104 on Friday and Saturday

we will have shorter hours!

Thursday 10 am til 1 pm

Friday 9 am til 1 pm

Saturday 9 am til 1 pm

This will give you an extra hour of cool in the morning to shop!

I think this is called the dog days of summer?? It must be as we have so many cute doggies through out the shop!

This one is even hiding in a high chair!

The heat has not kept the new items out of the shop or yard!

This amazing child's tiger rocker just came in and will not be here long!

And we are so excited to welcome Dana of Geek Girls Vintage to the shop!

She will be moving in begining on Friday and we look forward to many

more cute items like this wonderful tool box drawer!

It's HOT HOT HOT! Just like the flag says! Hopefully you have a big cooler full of ice cold water close by! We have all the fans cranked up to high and have been

busy redecorating lots of corners of the shop! We uncovered a huge assortment of postcards and ephemera.

New tables have come in!

And beautiful pieces have been rearranged to show them off in their best light! This great red chandelier came in,

and lots of glittery jewelry.

But the piece we are so excited about is this AMAZING chalkboard!

It is over 6 feet tall on two beautiful legs, and is double sided!!

You never see anything like this anymore! It would be perfect in a bonus room or kitchen to keep

your schedule now that schools are starting back up!

Or maybe you own a restaurant or bar that this would work in??

I promise you, it will not be here long!

With the extreme heat we have had over the last few days, we have been closing early at 1:00pm, but tomorrow on Saturday, we are going to OPEN early to make up for that!!

The entire Vintage Village will be opening at 9:00 am tomorrow morning

to give you an extra hour of shopping in the cool of the morning!

Yikes, the temperature the last few days has been miserable! If you ran by the shop Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon you may

Woohoo! Have you seen the weather?

This weekend we are having a cool down...it will only be 90! hahaha!

But next week we have temperatures in the 80's! It will be wonderful!

On Saturday we will have a table set up in the yard for a fundraiser!

One of our customers has a little girl with a metabolic disorder that requires her to receive her nutrients through a formula.

With all those cans around, an idea to make money for research arose,

thus was born Caddy's Cans!

Come to the shop to support this great idea! LOTS of new items have come into the shop this week!

New hats, new clothes, new purses, some amazing

new furniture pieces and some cases with the most awesome

vintage graphics I have ever seen!

Gary and Teresa are looking ahead to July 4th already with a great red, white and blue display in their booth!

36th wedding anniversary at Topsail Beach,

This weekend is a busy one!

Happy Easter Week!

Hope everyone is doing okay after the tornado this past weekend. We know a few of our customers homes were damaged, so if anyone needs any help with anything please let us know!

If you have not been into the shop this week, let me tell you, it has been BUSY!

We have gotten in and sold quite a few things. A cute little black dresser was not even in the shop 24 hours and two pillows, not even 5 minutes!!!! This handmade hutch is now available! Don't wait when you see something you can't live without, grab it right then or it will be gone!

Herbfest is still going on in Wake Forest through Easter Sunday! But if you can't make it up there, Sam's Country Porch has some beautiful plants into his shop today!

THANK YOU! We had so much fun at the

Wake Forest Women Club Antique Show and Sale

this past weekend! So many of you guys came out to see us and the other wonderful vendors.

This was the first year of the show and next years

show promises to be even bigger and better!Now while mom and I were having fun up at the show, the shop was hopping! Dealers moving and redoing their spaces,

new items coming in! All sorts of good stuff happening!If you missed us at the show, head to the shop this weekend!You can get a jump on spring decorating in your yard!

I think mother nature is upset with me for

showing off her bloomers in last weeks newsletter!

That must be the reason we got snow and sleet this morning!

But since it was so yucky out on Sunday we got some

great new items for inside the shop!

You can't be upset with the weather if you have a great table to eat at!

Or a wonderful cabinet to decorate!Wouldn't this buffet be perfect as a changing table in a baby's room?

That top drawer could hold all manner of baby items!

But the thing we are most excited about is this upcoming weekend,

few examples of what's new in the shop! These numbered eggs would look so wonderful in a glass jar on your counter!

Well, actually it is afternoon now isn't it?Wouldn't it be lovely to be sitting outside on one

of these beautiful new sets of outdoor furniture we just got in?Especially this weekend when it's going to be 80 degrees out?Last weekend was just as wonderful!Especially at SuzAnna's Antiques!We had our "Blast from the Past Vintage Prom Fashion"

show on Saturday Night!Everyone got in on the action, from our employees to our customers!Even our announcer was snazzy!

But I might be biased since I call him Daddy!The girls were lovely, the fashions were amazing, and we had everything from prom fashions to what the chaperons might wear!

With all this beautiful weather from the past weekend,

we have been Busy Bee's all over the shop and yard! Moving and shifting. Painting and playing even trying our hand at churning butter...hehehe!We're making way for all the new SPRING merchandise like this BEAUTIFUL typeface cabinet with printer trays! Or maybe you need your own spring project? This chair has beautiful lines, but needs a little TLC. Carolee has expanded her booth, with stunning results!

And this trunk came in this week too! Look at the wallpaper inside!

They don't make it like this anymore! Sam has spring gardens on the brain,

which shows in his display of lettuce seed packs on

top of a new black dresser to die for!

So this weekend, more good weather is expected.

Oh my goodness what a BEAUTIFUL day we had at the shop! New items coming in! Sold items leaving!! Among those new items coming in are two whole racks of vintage clothing! Our new vintage clothing dealer, Bobbi, has moved into her spot and has some of the most amazing items ever! Along with some of the coolest shoes! And boots! And accessories! Happy New Year!!

We hope you all had a wonderfully safe and happy New Year! If you have come by the shop in the last few days, you know

that we are moving and fluffing! Christmas is past and we were ready to start fresh!

But the shop felt empty, as I am sure your homes do too,

without all the festive holiday items around,

so Valentine's Day has made it's presence known!

Not only in SuzAnna's areas, but in dealers booths as well!

The only problem is old man winter does not want us to be

thinking of juicy red strawberries yet!He still wants us to be using our mittens in Raleighwith more snow expected over the next few days! What better time to head to SuzAnna's Antiques for a good book? Or a great chair to curl up in while reading that good book?

Happy Day After Christmas!

Hopefully you all received what you wanted from Santa this year!
